Extension skills: A focus on the progression to the NCEA Social Sciences by learning how to use Social Studies concepts, viewing big issues through multiple perspectives, and applying learning across different contexts. Classes will involve looking at controversial issues in the past, present and thinking about the future; structured debates as a recurring learning activity; inquiry learning into an issue that individual students are curious about; social and environmental action.
