Course Description

Toiora is a basic to advanced skills, knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of Māori art. Over the year you will explore a variety of materials and tools used to produce our art forms. The main art forms we look at are kōwhaiwhai, tukutuku, rāranga we look into the origins and history of these art forms. We learn the basics of those art forms and create contemporary art pieces.
