Teacher in Charge:
Creativity and Innovation
This course is for students who are interested in learning how to create a high-quality video, using a storyboard, and editing and composing and inserting audio/music components that can be shared and published online. You will learn how to use a video camera; how to use a storyboard when you are planning your video; the many different camera shots and the techniques that can be applied to them; how to use at least two different video editing programs and how to apply effects and transitions; how to use an online music composition program to add music to your video; and how to share and publish your video. Classes will involve some written, but mostly practical work. You will be working in small groups and you will take different roles in the group - sometimes you will be the director, sometimes the camera operator, etc. Occasionally you will be in front of the camera rather than behind it. You will be working to meet a deadline so learning how to manage your time is important and regular attendance is a must - you don't want to let your group down.
