This course is for students who have an interest in how best to improve the sustainability of our planet. You will learn about the science of what makes Aotearoa so unique. Earthquakes and volcanoes are constantly changing the NZ landscape. What causes these changes on the planet? How can we harness the power of these forces to move from fossil fuels to green energy? Classes will involve local sustainability, climate change and preserving our land. There will be research on the history of the planet and investigations about how we can make life on Earth sustainable. There could be a field trip. Problem- solving within groups and thinking critically will be a focus.
