This course is for students who are interested in the mathematics related to our world. It is a Mathematics course that uses the everyday situations we find ourselves in relating to everyday things we see and experience. You will learn a variety of mathematical skills from the New Zealand Curriculum for Mathematics and Statistics. Classes involve theory and practical sessions where you get to engage with different such as pollution, volcanoes, exercise, bees, weather, health, happiness, explosions, and transport. Group work will be an element of this course - whānau learning is essential for today and the future! All mathematics courses cover the same achievement objectives and students should choose the topic that most interests them.
