Teacher in Charge: Mrs K. PETERS
In this English course, you will explore the development of and motivations behind the actions of ‘bad guys’ in a range of texts, and why texts have ‘bad guys’ (what purpose they serve). This will include an investigation into these characters - firstly looking at ones that we are more familiar with from texts we have encountered before through to challenging you to explore the stereotypes of ‘bad guys’, and also looking at some of the most famous bad guy characters. You will apply this to ultimately create your own villain and place them in a narrative. You may also apply this through exploring the villains in Classic Literature, such as Shakespeare, Dickens, Bronte, as an extension of your learning.
