Course Description

Teacher in Charge:

Art Beat, is an art course focused around turangawaewae (a place to stand), which is all about your culture, identity, interests and passions. We will learn about Te Ao Māori, and also look into Pasifika cultures. We will develop research and practical skills in Painting, Sculpture and Printmaking. What is your taonga (treasure)? What is important to you? We will look into place, culture, people, and taonga which are important to you, and help shape your identity and sense of belonging.
