NCEA Level 3 Art Photography - Outside the Box

13PHO
Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Mr A. Yates.

Recommended Prior Learning

It is an advantage to have studied Photography at Level 1 or 2.

(Work from 2020 Level 3 Waiopehu Photography Students)

By thinking outside the box, using photographers and artists and enhancing your Photoshop skills, you will create a portfolio of work that reveals your innate creativity.

You will use cameras and Photoshop to make and digitally manipulate quality images.  For the two internal standards students explore different types of photography, lighting, lenses and photograph a variety of themes to create series of works.  Once a successful theme has been developed, students us this as a starting point to create their three panel Folio for external assessment.  There will be one trip during the year to visit a relevant exhibition.  There is now an option to present a digital portfolio for the external standard for those interested in film, animation or time-based projects.
