NCEA Level 2 Mathematics with Calculus

You will learn a range of topics following on from work learned in 11MAT, leading on to NCEA Level 3 Calculus, Statistics or Mathematics.  If you did not attempt the external standard for Tables, Graphs and Equations from 11MAT you will also need approval from the Head of Mathematics to take this course. 

This course has a strong focus on Algebra and introduces the Mathematics of change - Calculus, for the first time. Students taking this path will enjoy problem solving and have methodical work habits. This course is well-placed to support students who are looking for future pathways in STEM subjects.
