Community & Society

Throughout the world indigenous people have had their lives changed dramatically by the arrival of foreigners. You will study four groups of indigenous people that have had their lives turned upside down by European Colonists. These groups will be: Māori, Australian Aboriginals, Native Americans and the Inca. You will also be asked to look at your identity: who are you? How have your specific ancestors led you to live here in Levin and be the person you are? How has who you are shaped the way you look at the world?
