Critical Thinking
This course is an intermediate Te Reo Māori program for students who are already familiar with basic vocabulary in Te Reo Māori, and want to learn more of this living, dynamic and rich language. It is a 1 year course that is the foundation for our NCEA program. You will learn to be increasingly familiar with vocabulary and tikanga, to strengthen your identity. Classes will involve taking on a leadership role to support other students with activities such as learning pepehā, stories and a short mihi.
Recommended Prior Learning
Students who have completed Taitimu.
Students who are familiar with basic words and sentence structures.
This course is also recommend to students who have come from a bi-lingual or immersion settings.
