NCEA Level 2 Fine Art - The Artist Studio
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Mr A. Yates.
Using allegory and metaphor, you will begin your artistic pursuit of visual splendour. The artist studio has been an alluring mysterious space where the artist is viewed as the avant-garde, a prophet highlighting the future of civilization. You will visually explore a theme and develop a range of inspirational images.
You will develop ideas around a theme and style, and explore a range of drawing techniques within your chosen field of practice (Painting, Printmaking or Sculpture). After developing initial ideas as part of the internal assessments, you will use these ideas as a basis for developing work for your external folio assessment.
