Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Mr D. HUTCHINSON
FILM DESIGN Design and create a socially responsible film that aims to highlight a topical issue. (10 credits over 2 standards).
ENVIRONMENTAL ACTION
Undertake an environmental action that examines the student's role in eating food in a sustainable way (food miles, vegetarianism, packaging etc).
SOCIAL CHANGE VLOG
Become the author of a blog/vlog that promotes a topical issue, educates the public using corroborated sources and aims to create change in society.
HUMAN RIGHTS INQUIRY
Research and submit your findings in relation to a current human rights issue in the world.
SOCIAL ACTION
Identify something that is wrong in our society and try to bring about real change to policy to make a big difference to people's lives.
JOURNALISM
Students are encouraged to write or record a piece of journalism that is published in the 'real world.'
