Course Description

Developing Scientific skills is crucial to thriving in a changing world. Many of the major challenges that confront our world need to be approached from a scientific perspective. 

In this Science course, you will study Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and Space standards; building on the knowledge you have gained in the last three years. 

In all of the standards studied, you will develop practical skills, and the internal assessments you complete will be based on practical experiments.

You will learn to investigate, understand and explain our natural world, the physical world, and the wider universe.  You will generate and test ideas, gather evidence - including making observations, carrying out investigations and modeling, and communicating and debating with others - in order to develop scientific knowledge, understanding, and explanations.  

All the Achievement Standards are University Entrance approved.  Topics include; Meteors, Is there life in space? Homeostasis, Spectroscopy, and Potatoes.

Recommended Prior Learning

You should have completed a Level 2 Science course.
