Pasifika Performing Arts
Course Description

Pasifika Performing Arts combines the learning areas of Dance and Drama and opens up more learning opportunities for those students who choose to take this course to explore and understand more about Pasifika culture through a dance and drama lens.
Students will have the opportunity to learn and create Pasifika dances that they can add to their Pasifika Fusion bracket and teach to their fellow students. Students will also get the opportunity to learn, create and share Pasifika stories through drama performances and design and create traditional Pasifika costuming.
Students will have the opportunity to share their performance at local community events, Pasifika Fusion and share their knowledge with local primary schools.
Recommended Prior Learning
No Prior learning required, but an interest in learning Pasifika performance arts and a "give it a go" attitude. If you have some prior experience within school or outside of school then that will be of benefit.
