Social Sciences - Tiki Tour

This course is for students who want to develop an understanding of our nation's important locations - locally and nation-wide. We will look at the importance of certain locations now, and in the past, with links to rangatiratanga, tūrangawaewae and kaitiakitanga. You will also develop an understanding of geographical features , locations and their importance to New Zealand. Students will also learn practical skills such as the use compass direction, grid references, longitude and latitude, and maps including topographic, weather and relief maps.
