Critical Thinking

This course is for students who are interested in Aotearoa NZ origins, indigenous and migrant histories. You will learn about our geographic formation; how birds and wildlife felt the impact of people’s arrival. You will study indigenous peoples who have had their lives impacted by European Colonists. Māori will be one of these groups and others could consist of Australian Aboriginals, Native Americans and/or the Inca. Classes will involve learning strategies including individual and group work; development of literacy and inquiry skills. There will be scope for individual project based learning and development and extension learning activities.
