This course is for students who have an interest in the innovation and exploration of Space. You will learn about how you could travel to Mars and the issues with setting up a colony. What will it take to survive? This course will give you the opportunity to study some of the aspects of space and the difficulties of getting to and living on another planet. You will also be learning about some of the mechanisms underpinning how stuff works in all the fields of science necessary to survive in space: from radiation to growing food, to gravity, to getting water. Programming and using robotics will be one of your challenges. Classes will involve critical thinking, project management, ethics and sustainability. Engineering will inform the student's view of the world today to ensure they are prepared for the world of tomorrow.
