Social Sciences - Guts and Glory

This course is for students who want to learn about war and conflicts, in Aotearoa and abroad, that have helped to shape our nation. You will learn about the causes and consequences of various conflicts, and perspectives relating to these events. The concepts of rangatiratanga, mana and maumaharatanga will be explored in relation to various conflicts and debates. Classes will involve collaborative work, developing research, inquiry and communication skills, as well as field trips.
