This course is for students who are interested in learning more about the science of the human body. You will learn about the workings of the human body from cells to organ systems: Respiratory, Circulatory, Digestive, Muscular-skeletal and Genetics. You will be investigating the causes and effects of various complications/diseases relating to the above systems and the scientific methods used to treat them. The questions we will be answering; What makes you tick? Why do you look like this? What makes us sick? What is an epidemiologist? How do we study diseases? Classes will involve understanding the human body with a variety of projects, dissections, and experiments. There will be a focus on group work and collaboration.
