Course Description

Tourism is one of New Zealand's most valuable exports. Millions of visitors come to New Zealand every year to explore what this country has to offer. As a student of Tourism, you will learn about the Tourism industry and the importance that this has in New Zealand. You will learn about Domestic and International Tourism, attractions and activities from around the world and in New Zealand, as well as what work roles are available to those who wish to pursue a career in this fast growing industry. This course is assessed through a range of Unit Standards that cover a variety a topics which students can choose from to suit their interests.
Recommended Prior Learning
A total of 10 credits in either Year 11: History, Geography or English; have or be working towards level one numeracy.
