In this English course we will explore the representation of gangsters in literature, including in traditional texts like Shakespeare's famous Romeo and Juliet. You will look into the impact these characters have on their constructed societies and what we can learn from this. A comparison of these characters in texts to other texts, as well as to society, will be investigated. You will apply this to showing your understanding in a formal written essay.
