NCEA Level 2 Sport and Leisure Studies
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Miss K. Brown.
In 12 Sport and Leisure Studies you will undertake 6 internal assessments, totaling 18 credits.
This course will assist you to develop soft skills, such as Leadership, Communication and Team Work, through multiple assessments including ABL activities, group processes and teaching others. You will also be involved in a practical assessment, which could be a biathlon/triathlon, worth 4 credits. The final assessments will cover fast-5 netball, where you will participate as a player as well as an official, learning and enforcing the rules of the game.
This course is considered a practical course, however you will be expected to complete small portions of written work to be assessed.
You will need to have a high level of participation, and an interest in building physical fitness and skills..

Show interest in Physical Education related activities and completed Level 1 Sport & Leisure Studies.
