Science - Chemistry Matters

This course is for students who want to learn about the science of chemicals, atoms, matter and reactions. You will learn about and investigate why things change colour, how new substances combine and why things react. We will study different chemical reactions, types of gases, combustion and acids and bases. We will then link them to everyday use. Students will complete experiments and keep a log of their observations and findings. Topics covered will be Atoms, the Periodic Table, Acids and Bases, Matter, Fire, Fuels, and Chemical Reactions.
