NCEA Level 3 Calculus

Course Description

The course is most appropriate for students who have an interest in the continuing study of mathematics, the sciences, engineering, or any field in which logical reasoning and analysis are important tools.

If you have not taken 12 MATA you must see Mrs Newson (HoD Maths) for approval to take this course.

This is an NCEA approved subject for University Entrance and students will need to pass at least one external standard to gain the required number of credits.

Course Contribution:
Stationery Requirements: Ruler, Graphics calculator, 2 x 1E5 or 1J5.

Recommended Prior Learning

16 credits from Level 2 Mathematics, including some at merit level and have passed at least one external standard at Level 2. If you have not met these requirements, you will need the support of your Level 2 teacher before you select this course.
