Course Description

You will learn a variety of skills such as research, source interpretation and essay writing.
The content could include the Vietnam War, the Weimar Republic and Nazi Germany and New Zealand's involvement in a significant event, this will be decided on dependent on individual interests.
Exploring events where people have taken a stand and challenged the status quo. Topics are student choice, but could include: Tianamen Square, Women's Suffrage, Nuclear Free New Zealand, Mau in Samoa, Parihaka, Homosexual Law Reform, French Revolution......and so on.

Recommended Prior Learning
This is an open entry course providing you have attained a reasonable standard in NCEA Level 1 English and/or Level 1 Geography.

Stationery Requirements: 1 x 2B8 (hardcover), diary.
