NCEA Level 2 Physical Education
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Mr C. Brown.
In 12 Physical Education you will undertake 6 internal assessments, totaling 22 credits.
This course covers several biophysical principles, across two assessments, one which looks at improving a physical skill, and the other focusing on a training programme. This training programme will be implemented as we train for the Tough Guy/Gal event, a 6km 'tough-mudder' run in Rotorua. When in Rotorua, we will also complete the Adrenalin Forest course, and cover a Safety Management standard, worth 3 credits.
Other assessments include Hellison's Social Responsibility, where the focus will be on developing soft skills, such as Leadership, Communication and Team Work.
This course is considered an academic course, and we will be in the classroom approximately 60% of the year.
Recommended Prior Learning
